Is porn taking control of your life?

Ten questions about the last six months, about two minutes. This is not a diagnosis: it shows the signs that research on problematic porn use keeps finding, like losing control, using it to escape your feelings and carrying on even when it gets in the way.

Your answers never leave your device. Nothing is sent or stored.

Question 1 of 10

In the last six months, how often did you...

spend more time watching porn than you meant to?

What the test looks at

The questions follow the signs researchers use to describe problematic porn use. None of them alone means addiction. What matters is the whole picture, and how long it has been repeating:

  • Losing control: watching more than you wanted, or failing to stop when you try.
  • Using it to handle feelings: stress, boredom, loneliness or sadness become triggers.
  • Needing more: looking for more intense content to feel the same.
  • Discomfort without it: irritability or anxiety when you cannot watch.
  • Costs and secrecy: sleep, work, study and relationships affected, and the habit hidden from the people close to you.

How to read your result

Scores go from 0 to 40. Up to 10 points, the signs are few; from 11 to 22, some of them show up often; from 23 to 40, they are there most of the time.

The number is not a label. It shows you the size of the problem today and lets you follow the change: take the test again in 30 days and compare.

What to do now

Start small and concrete: pick one person you trust to know your goal, remove easy access at the times you usually slip, and have a plan for the first minutes of an urge.

Firmo90 brings that together in one place: a counter, a daily check-in, a real partner with SOS and an anonymous community, free to use.

If it feels like too much, or you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or find a free line in your country at findahelpline.com.

Frequently asked questions

Does this test tell me if I am addicted?

No. No online test can diagnose you. It shows signs that are common in people who have lost control of their use. For a real assessment, talk to a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

Are my answers saved?

No. The test runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you choose is sent to us or kept after you close the page.

How much porn is too much?

There is no number of times a week that separates normal from a problem. What matters is losing control: wanting to stop and not managing it, using it to escape your feelings and carrying on even when it hurts your life.

My result showed many signs. What now?

Tell someone you trust and have a plan for the moment an urge hits. Nobody should have to carry this alone. On Firmo90 you find a real accountability partner and an anonymous community, and you can start free.

Is the test for women too?

Yes. The questions are about behavior, not gender, and apply to anyone.

You do not have to hold this alone.

A counter that counts on its own, a daily check-in, a community by nickname and, if you want, a real same-gender partner. Free to use, on Android and iPhone.
